CHOOSE GAS FOR A BETTER US
The academic track is simply the track that prepares students for the most common college courses such as business management, engineering, and the sciences. The academic track is the most familiar one because students usually apply to colleges upon graduation from high school. Going into senior high school, students must choose a strand and track they would like to take for the next two years in their senior high school life. There are different strands and tracks students can choose from which can also help them choose a course they might want to take in college. Given that this is a big decision, a lot of thinking must be done when deciding. Here is a basic guide that can help you choose the right academic track and strand.
Four types of Academic Strands
As a student of SHS you must choose the GAS (General Academics Strand) because, GAS is the most flexible strand among the four strands offered in the Academic Track because students get to learn and experience something from all the other strands. GAS is essentially for students who are undecided on which strand to take.
GAS students are like boy and girl scouts. This is because GAS makes it more convenient for students to pick the subjects and strands they need to take in order to pursue higher education. That's actually one of the best advantages a student can get when choosing GAS over the other Senior High School strands.
